About the event
Attention Old Time Music pickers and singers! The Ola Belle Reed Festival will be held on August 3, 2024 in the J.O. Blevins Meadow in Lansing, NC.
We are looking for competitors in both the Youth and Adult categories to perform songs in the style of Ola Belle Reed. The songs may be from the Ola Belle Reed catalog (with the exception of standards, such as “High on a Mountain” and “I’ve Endured”) or may be original songs in the Ola Belle style.
Prize money for adult competitors:
1st place: Individual $100 Band $200
2nd place: Individual $50 Band $100
Ribbons will be awarded to Youth and Adult 1st and 2nd place winners.
Online registrations commence on July 1, 2024. No registration fee is required.
Following the competitions will be performances by Zoe & Cloyd and The Sheets Family Band, plan on staying into the evening to enjoy a night of square dancing on the banks of Big Horse Creek!
